Saturday walking Strider where I saw the monster pike last weekend, the water was now frozen over. To completely freeze the whole water it must of been bloody cold the last few nights. I can’t tell you how thick it had frozen, I didn’t fancy getting near the edge to test it. I’m a coward that way. Images of me going in come to mind, and seeing as Strider hates water there would of been no chance of him jumping in to save me.

Fast forward to today. A night of snow, and a phone call from Mum telling me the back roads I use to get out to the wilds of the farmed fens have deep snow drifts. Meant that Strider and I had to walk the streets of the frontier town known as Wisbech.
