What can I say, I’ve been thinking about a new look for the blog for a while. IMG_1234Guess what? I found a theme I liked the look of, and that is what you are seeing now.

Let’s face it the old look (which I can switch back to very quickly) has been with us for two years now. Well since the blog was moved over from the old Microsoft Live Spaces (well I’ve not missed that place).

Hopefully you will agree with me that this gives a new fresh feel to the place.

I still have some tweaking to do, like get it so the default pictures that rotate in the header get replaced with mine. So if you spot something that isn’t right let me know so I can fix it.

In the meantime I will leave you with a couple of photos once more taken with the iPhone while out with the dogs. The first is a startled Moorhen in flight, and the second me trying to be arty again.

You can see more iPhone photos taken by me on My The Best Camera Page. You will see there some familiar photos and some that you won’t of seen before (unless you have joined me on Facebook and/or Twitter). For those interested when you view the pictures it also gives you the recipe for any effects applied to the photo. Which won’t mean a lot to those not using the The Best Camera app on the iPhone.

    Hi Darren,
Finally succumbed to WP? Like the new theme. Have you found WP easy to use? We swapped over a few weeks ago and are very happy with the outcome compared to , in our case, blogger.
    Enjoy the weekend
    Frank

  4. Darren says:

Frank, I love WP. It is a great platform, so flexible. And to paraphrase a certain Apple ad campaign there is a plugin for that (Duncan came up with that). Which I love.

All seems fine to me here – very nice clean look.

  6. Darren says:

    Geoff, thnx

Very smart indeed Mr C. :-)

  8. Robin Evans says:

I like it. Very smart and easy on the eye.

    :)

Wish I could take credit for the look. But all I did was chose one I liked the look of. Vladimir Prelovac did all the hard work on this theme (called Amazing Grace) and then very generously made it available for free.
All I had to do was tweak it for my needs.
But thanks for liking the look.

Nice, love the photo in the top right.

How’d you get the RSS Feed to migrate?

Mine appears to have totally changed and I’m now past the point of no return where some people have swapped to the new one and some haven’t. I guess some people will just think I’m lazy and haven’t posted for a while….

  11. Darren says:

    Phil, thnx
I’ve not done anything with the RSS. It should all be handled by a plugin and feedburner. So there should be no change needed.
I did the move to Feedburner ages ago.
Or have I miss read that and are you saying my feeds have changed?

  12. PhilT says:

No, yours work great, my recent change affected the RSS Feed on my blog (inevitable perhaps) but yours seems unaffected, which is nice.

Ah well, I’m enjoying revisiting some of your early posts in the new format, it’s like they’re brand new!

  13. Darren says:

Phil, thanks for the feedback, I’m glad it’s not broken.
And glad you are enjoying revisiting some of the older posts.

  14. alan.sloman says:
