More iPhone Snaps From Oakenshaw NR

Another panorama taken on the iPhone 3G. Once more as so many of my photos it was taken at Oakenshaw Nature Reserve this morning (as were the rest in this post).
I’m using the above two photographs as an excuse to give you a Bud update. My loyal three legged friend is doing really well. He has come to the end of the course of pills that the vet gave him. Bud has been doing really well, we are still doing lighter walks than usual at the moment. But they will get back to normal after he has had his stitches out. Which he will be done this coming Saturday. In the above pictures the one on the left Bud was just giving himself a little shake despite not being wet. The one on the right I ran through the tilt shift software on the iPhone. Not sure if I am happy with the results at the moment.
At the moment it seems like the ducks and coots have vacated the ponds. The only fowl I see on the water at the moment seems to be the Moorhens. But that impression is a false one, mainly because the ducks are hiding away on the small island (which can be seen in the pano at the top of the post) located in the large pond, or they were this morning anyway. I had thought that the swans had returned when I saw two swans the other day. However they must of been just visiting because I haven’t seen them since.
After a few days of rain up here the water levels are back up or near to full again. So it tells you we have had some rain up here. I didn’t think that we had been that cold the last day or so. But with the weather men having predicted frost, I was hoping for some nice winter moody shots at the Nature Reserve. Maybe even some nice atmospheric mist rising off the ponds as the winter sun this morning warmed up the Earth. Sadly that was not the case, in fact there was no frost. Any frost that there might have been must of thawed, so it must of been pretty light.
Luckily for you I will wax lyrically about how much I love frozen mornings and walking the dogs when we have had a good frost. So just keep that threat in mind

Robin, thnx. Bud is doing really well. It is a nice place to walk, surprisingly not too crowded as well.
