It’s Ok That Mine’s Not Movie Quality

Where did I get the title of this post from? I just happened to be watching Step Brothers a movie starring Will Ferrell. At the end of the movie the character he plays says this line about a Chewbacca mask his parents give him as a Christmas present.
Somehow I missed the third anniversary or birthday of this blog. Three years! I look back and it surprises me that I have written so much, yet said so little.
I do read/follow a lot of other blogs. Some have been going longer than mine, some have been around a lot less. What they all share is a love for the outdoors and great writing.
Like my photography skills, I do feel that others are far better writers than myself. I read a post and think wow that is a bit of amazing writing.
But it’s ok that mine is not “book” quality to paraphrase the post title. I’ve matured enough over the years to be able to handle that bit of knowledge. In the grand scheme of things it’s the least of my worries.
I have some video projects to finish, but after that who knows where this blog will go. There are ideas kicking around to keep things fresh. Which I hope when you see them, you will like.
So Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me. And here is to the next year.
We are nearing the end of November and I’m seeing a frog! Does this mean we are in for a mild winter or the complete opposite? Or is it just a very very confused frog?
Doesn’t Bud look deep in thought as he looks out over the pond? I wonder what he is pondering. Well that picture next to it shows you as it was taken seconds later, it’s two Moorhens. They were in the reeds in Buds picture out of sight.

Izzat a frog or a toad?
This time last year my pet brass monkey was singing descants – it’s been pretty mild here in t’Dales so far, with only a handful of frosts. I’ve been assured, however, of a very cold, white winter though by a man with much wisdom – so wise, in fact, that last year he bought the pub next door .
Happy blirgday!
