My Sleeping Bag For Next Years Challenge
Posted on | July 9, 2009 | 12 Comments
Ok we have seen the tent I am taking on the TGO Challenge next year (see here) if I get on. Now it looks like I will be changing my sleeping bag/quilt for the Challenge as well. No need for a pillow, so can save some weight there, it looks uber cool. Oh and being a Star Wars fan it ticks that box as well.

Hopefully it will be available in time for next May. Read the full story here

I was SO disappointed when i saw it was an april fools joke. I was one of the people who wrote in asking them to make it. I REALLY want one
On livejournal is a blog post by the lady who made the one in the picture, with close up pictures

I like the light sabre that you have to use to slit it open when you first use it

John, thanks for that you saved me from buying a Jar Jar Binks pack
Baz, now that would be totally cool ^__^

I want one! Gear that serves two purposes is great. This would let me drop one of the stuffed animals I was think about bringing for my coast to coast.

Are you thinking of trekking through the wastes of an ice planet like Hoth then!!!!
July 9th, 2009 @ 3:23 pm
Would be handy if you did.. You’d certainly fit in (with) the natives

We mentioned this idea of sleeping inside an animal last year on OM forum in a thread on Bear Grylls, as he made a nights sleeping bag/tent out of a camel carcass in the North African desert at night where the temperature plummets well below freezing. And someone there put up this clip of Hoth, saying he’s copying Luke Skywalker now! lol
