Happy New Year
What a last day of 2008 (oops).
Today a parcel arrived from the US, a parcel I had been eagerly expecting. Yes the quilt kit and the updated Beyond Backpacking now renamed to Trail Life. The temptation is to be anti-social tonight and read the book. But I can wait until tomorrow.
I now have to either find some-one handing with a sewing machine or learn to see myself (a skill a want to pick up).
The other thing that I got today was unexpected. During a visit to Tesco I came across a tripod for a tenner that would be great for the video filming and also for photography. So it ended up in the shopping basket.
Anyway enough of my shopping trips and new arrivals I need to wish all my readers, friends and family a Happy New Year.
I hope you all have a great, safe time this evening, and see you all in the New Year.

Just out of interest – have you already got Beyond Backpacking? I’d be interested to see how much it’s been updated given developments in the last few years, although Ray Jardine may see things differently…
I have had Beyond Backpacking for a while now. I will try and compare the two to see how much it has been updated and cover that in a review later.
